Nutouch Introduces Touchscreen Digital Picture Frame

Written on Jun 17, 2008 by Brian and filed under News, Nutouch

Nutouch touchscreen digitl picture frameNutouch is showing off a 7″ digital picture frame that has the normal goodies like integrated speakers and an 800×480 resolution, but what’s really interesting is the touch interface. Buttons on the back are often hard to find and tiny remotes get lost, so the ability to manage your pictures with touch input is pretty interesting.

Of course there are some downers as well, the 128MB integrated memory means you’ll have to rely on memory cards if you want to show many photos. There’s also a battery, but it only runs for two hours before needing to be charged again, which limits its utility. And there’s the price, roughly $275, if it makes it over to the US that is.

Even so, we’re happy to see a little innovation out of a market that’s increasingly stale and lacking imagination. It remains to be seen how well this touch interface works, but we’re looking forward to seeing other digital picture frames offer this form of interaction. [GeekAlerts]
