Digital Frame Sales to Increase - Frames to Get Larger

Written on Oct 14, 2008 by Brian and filed under News

A new report from DigiTimes indicates that not only will demand for digital picture frames increase in the fourth quarter, the sizes will probably scale up too.

As prices have fallen for the popular 7″ display panels, some Asian manufacturers are refusing orders, instead driving buyers to 10.4″ and 12″ models that include multi-media features like speakers and video playback.

Demand in the US for digital picture frames has been light this year, even before this latest economic turmoil. It remains to be seen how consumers will react this Holiday shopping season. Many argue however that due to the easy “giftability” of digital frames and the many sub-$100 options, the frame market should be more insulated than other categories this year.
