RedPost Ubuntu-Based 19″ PC/Digital Picture Frame Closer to Release

RedPost has announced the next phase of its Ubuntu-driven hardware with the formation of a strategic partnership with Hurco Automation. Hurco will manufacture RedPost’s new Sign, a 19″ all-in-one PC with the capability to be a digital photo frame or digital sign, when connected to RedPost’s Linux software.

The DPF-V900 is Sony’s top of the line digital picture frame. The 9″ frame offers a vibrant display you’d expect from a Sony, with enough integrated memory to hold 1,000 pictures. While at $250 you might expect wireless, which you don’t get, Sony did add an HDMI port, which lets you display your pictures on an HDTV.
