One of the side effects to reviewing many different digital picture frames is that I start to expect more and more from a typical picture frame. The latest digital media frames handle photos, video, music, and stream content via Wi-Fi. That’s why I was amazed to see the affordable GiiNii ArtForme Digital Picture Frame (model GN-705W) keeps things surprisingly simple. This picture frame is just a picture frame … nothing more and nothing less.
D-Link Partners With Cellcom to Get Cell Phone Photos on the DSM-210

D-Link has paired with mobile service provider Cellcom (Wisconsin) to let Cellcom customers send camera phone pictures straight to the D-Link DSM-210 digital picture frame. This is all accomplished through the FrameChannel service and without fees, something carriers like T-Mobile could learn from.

D-Link has announced the DSM-210. This 10″ widescreen digital frame not only displays photos, but it also connects to the Internet to download photos or RSS feeds of news, weather, sports and more. The DSM-210 offers two ways to get online, either the wired Ethernet port, or an 802.11g wireless connection. Other highlights include 1GB internal memory, 800×480 resolution and support for USB drives.
