Audiovox has announced several new digital picture frames at CES this year. The Décor series features an two 8″ LCD models with removable wood frame that can be replaced with most stock 8×10 standard photo frames. The Celebration series are portable photo albums that feature leather covers and 7″ or 4.3″ display sizes.
Audiovox Décor Series
The Décor series includes two 8″ models, the DPF8100 and DPF8300. Both features standard aspect ratio displays with 800×600 pixel resolution, clock/calendar function, USB connection, multi-card reader and remote control. They both also give users the option to swap out the included wood frame with almost any standard 8×10″ photo frame. This gives the frames ultimate flexibility to fit in with any home or office design.
The DPF8300 adds in “Virtual Matting” capabilities that will provide consumers with infinite color, texture and image options. We’re not sure what that means, but for some reason it doesn’t cost any more, so that’s something.
Both models retail for $129.99.
Audiovox Celebration Series
The Celebration series are portable digital albums complete with leather case and rechargeable battery that lasts roughly an hour. The D PF7407 is a 7″ model that comes in in black or white with an embossed cover. The display is widescreen with 480×234 pixel resolution, multi-card reader and a limited 128MB of memory. The suggested retail is $129.99.
The other model is the DPF7404 , a 4.3″ design dedicated to special occasions. Like the 7″ model, there’s an internal battery and speaker. No pricing has been announced for this unit.
