Jobo just a few days ago released an ultra-thin 7″ frame and today they’re back announcing the new Plano family of digital picture frames. Starting with an 8″ model (7″ and 10″ versions to follow) the Jobo frame features a 4:3 aspect ratio, 800×600 pixel display and a contrast ratio of 400:1. Frames in this hybrid value-style line will also include a remote control and will start at $99 for the 7″ model.
Other highlights include USB support and multi-card reader with support for SD, SDHC, MMC, MS and xD. In addition to the remote, the frame has navigation buttons on the back and comes with a wall mount kit for flexible install options.
This JOBO model supports picture browsing, thumbnail mode and slideshow with various transition effects. It also offers functions such as Rotate and Zoom and 4-in-1 window or slide mode and a calendar and the time. Jobo has also included a power-saving function, but details on the implementation were not part of the release.
