We first covered the announcement of the Kaleido R7 back in October, but Ipevo has seen fit to re-announce the R7 at CES. While it’s now not available until March, instead of shipping in time for the Holiday season, it is on the low end of their first announced pricing range, coming in at $199. There are more details available now too, especially surrounding the Wi-Fi features.

Ipevo claims the R7 is “the first digital photo frame to incorporate computer-centric behavior into a software and hardware design.” We’re not exactly sure what that means, but Ipevo does promises the ability to sync the frame with the iPhone and any Windows Mobile device. They also of course support image sources form the Internet like Flickr. They also support RSS feeds and other content which is all managed with their own software called EyeStage.
The 7″ 800×480 pixel widescreen display is raised and features a special hinge to allow the screen to rotate or tilt for optimal quality in landscape or portrait view. The front-facing touchpad control base and included remote control also combine with the user interface for easy information and menu navigation. In addition to being able to pull images from an iPhone, iPhone owners will be able to use their phone as the remote control to the frame as well.
The R7 also includes a multi-card reader, 512MB of internal memory and offers playlist management.
