bydsign DP-1001DW – Digital Frame with TV Tuner

Before you get too excited about a digital picture frame that incorporates digital TV viewing, this bydsign frame is a Japan only release for now. However, beyond being a normal widescreen digital frame, the DP-1001DW also incorporates a 1Seg TV tuner, which is a unique twist.
Television and digital frames have been integrated before, but it’s usually a TV that also shows pictures and in one case it’s a frame that shows Internet TV. But this is the first to truly add television functionality to a digital picture frame.
From a hardware perspective the DP-1001DW features a 10.2″ screen with 800×480 resolution and supports multimedia playback in addition to the TV tuner. Pricing and availability have not been announced. [via Akihabara News]
