Unfortunately, I purchased the spx8wf a few days before you all posted your comments. I have the exact same problems as Peter but unfortunately, I cannot return the frame. The firmware is real garbage on this frame. Do not buy it!

To sjrich: Glad I'm not the only one who experienced difficulties with this frame.

On top of crashes, manual activation of FrameIt etc it also goes back to the main menu when finished with the FrameIt content. There is no way to have it loop through the web content (confirmed by customer service) and even with some interesting workarounds (using Yahoo Pipes to loop RSS feeds to create an RSS feed long enough to keep the screen on the feed for a month) it will only recognize 600 photos, which at a 10 second slideshow is just over an hour...before you have to get up and start the slide show again.

Unacceptable. This frame is going back to the store.

Samsung, iGala, eStarling - Any of these allow the RSS feed 'set it and forget it' type operation??

I purchased one of these units. I've yet get it to connect to my Wi-Fi network. I have had it crash three times so far out of 5 days of operation.

I got one of these for my grandparents. The current firmware is extremely buggy and does not allow for "set it and forget it" operation.

It crashes while in the FrameIt slideshow mode frequently. My grandparents do not know that it "crashed" and will not know what to do.

Also it does not automatically connect to FrameIt on power-up, but requires the user to navigate to the option in the menu. In other words, you cannot just set it up and push photos to it remotely without user interaction.

The frame also does not cache pictures from FrameIt. It has to download the same picture EACH TIME you enter FrameIt.

This frame is not useful for what I intended it for: just displaying photos it grabs from RSSs.

The Samsung models seem to be much more polished than this half-assed-buggy-as-hell excuse of a frame.
