eStarling ImpactV Released

eStarling has announced another new digital picture frame, this one being touted for its integrated Wi-Fi and video playback abilities. The 8″ ImpactV, V stands for video, features a standard aspect ratio 800×600 pixel display, 512MB of internal memory and multi-card reader, in addition to the Wi-Fi and video playback highlights.

Even though the ImpactV retails for $200, twice as much as the Impact7, it brings more to the table in terms of a much better display, thanks to the higher resolution, and more internal memory, which is critical for decent multimedia functions, like video playback. Historically media playback off of external memory card or USB drives hasn’t worked very well, so a large internal memory reserve is important.

Just like the Impact7, you can connect the ImpactV to online sources for photos and video and you can use the iPhone application to easily send shots to the frame, which has its own email address.
