Panasonic 103″ HD Plasma TV Released, Doubles as Digital Picture Frame

Sure, it’s a bit of a stretch to call Panasonic’s latest foray into excessively large plasma displays a digital picture frame, but Panasonic lists the picture frame as a feature, so who are we to judge? The Viera TH-103PZ800 is a Japan-only release right now, but that’s probably not the only thing stopping you from buying one. The $50,000 price tag may be a second reason.
The plasma panel includes an SD card slot (SDHC cards supported) that’s good for loading JPEG images onto the giant 16:9, 1920×1080 pixel widescreen TV. Photos may be viewed one at a time and forwarded along with the remote. Panasonic also includes three songs that can be played along with your photos in slideshow mode.
While not exactly practical for most homes, this HDTV would certainly be the envy of the neighborhood. Just make sure your pictures are up to snuff to be displayed on a panel such as this.
